Melanie Hagen-Ching teaches five choirs at Rancho Alamitos.  Originally from Minnesota, Mrs. Hagen-Ching holds a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Creative Writing from Knox College (Galesburg, IL), and a teaching certificate in Vocal Music Education. Before joining the faculty at Rancho Alamitos, she was the choir director at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. She has also directed choirs and taught piano lessons in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri.  In addition to singing and playing piano, she loves to travel, read, eat, and spend time with her family.  She is a proud Mama to a four-year old daughter and one-year-old son.
