Ms. McGowan is a science teacher and co department chair at Rancho Alamitos High School. She teaches Biology and Anatomy/Physiology. Ms. McGowan has completed 17 years of teaching, all at Rancho Alamitos.
Ms. McGowan received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from CSU at Chico. She graduated with the intent to become a physical therapist. After working as a physical therapy aide, she decided to look for a new career. Her sister reccommended becoming a substitute teacher; and two years later Ms. McGowan completed her teaching credential program at Concordia University.
